Are you interested in walking with your Rainbow / Brownie / Guide Unit but lack the confidence to organise it?                                                                                                   Members of the walking team are willing to lead an evening or day walk for you and your Unit in your area.

Level 1 Walking Training 

Day 1 Saturday 19th May

This training has been cancelled due to low numbers. If you are interested in doing Level 1 walking training please contact the County Walking Adviser on monica@mrender.plus.com . We hope then to arrange the training on days which is suitable for most people.

Join the Walking Team retracing the steps of Edwina's gentle mountain exploits in search of these much loved illusive celtic mystical mammals on Kinder Scout.  Approximately 18 km leaving at 10 am from the layby below the Snake Inn on the A57 Glossop Sheffield Road GR 114905 Dark Peak Map.
Fine mountain scenery at a leisurely pace with a pot of tea in the Snake Inn to ease your thirst at the end.

Saturday 30th June level 2 walk on Derwent Edge, above Ladybower Reservoir.  Meet at the layby on the A57 (GR 216 874  Dark Peak Map OL 1)  at 9.15 for 9.30 am.  15 km, approx 5 1/2 hours.

Saturday 29th September Stanton Moor Learn about the popular activity of 'geo caching'. You will be introduced to this activity by Alison Wheeler & Heather Staple.
 
Sunday 2nd December  Castleton, all dressed up for Christmas, led by Angela Kettlewell.
