SPRING TERM 2021
1ST RESPONSE TRAINING
From November 2020, in line with national first aid qualification guidance, the 1st Response qualification has changed to a 6 hour training course plus a short (maximum 15 minutes) E-learning module. There is no longer provision to complete a renewal. All Volunteers will be required to complete this new training qualification. The information below sets out the current training we can offer - please read the section that is relevant to you.
We appreciate that not everyone will have access to technology that allows them to complete the Theory Based Training online. We shall of course look to run full face to face training sessions based on the new qualification once COVID 19 restrictions allow.
For all Leaders in Training:
Your 1st Response training is valid for 3 years – if you’ve already completed your training before COVID19 complicated things then you do not need to take any action. When your 1st Response qualification expires you'll need to redo the full 6 hour training course and E-learning in order to make sure your training is up to date to keep all members safe. You will need to attend a local training session for 1st Response and complete the 1st Response E-learning.
If you haven’t already completed your 1st Response qualification, then we are offering a course especially for you:
