£7.00 per head, per night
A non-returnable deposit of *£15.00 is required when confirming weekend bookings (£25.00 for longer periods) and must be sent with the booking form within two weeks of your request.
A fully equipped Brownie house
Pax-Tor is situated on a wooded hillside overlooking the Derwent Valley and is an excellent location for walking and exploring the local towns of Matlock and Bakewell.
The house is fully equipped for 18 children and 3 adults. Beds are bunk type in one main dormitory with a leader’s bedroom at one end.
Sleeping is allowed downstairs but the maximum number to sleep in the house is 24. The large fully fitted kitchen/dining room has two large electric ovens/hobs.
The lounge area contains a variety of reading and activity materials and has a solid fuel stove - fuel is supplied.
Outside there are a covered patio, barbecue and camp fire areas.
Offsite activities include swimming at Matlock and Bakewell, The Heights of Abraham and Gulliver's Kingdom theme parks. The Red House Stable Museum. Haddon Hall and Chatsworth House with its adventure playground are both within easy reach.
